Your current and previous landlord references. The deposit Nova Scotia caps a security deposit at half a month's rent, so on this unit that is $1,347.50 . There is no such thing as first and last month here. The deposit is held in trust, and any interest on it is yours, though the rate the province sets has been 0% since 2013.
