Halifax-specific value

Increases have to follow the rules: we keep them there

Nova Scotia caps annual rent increases for existing tenants at 5%, allows them once per 12-month period, and requires at least four months' written notice on Form J. A mistimed or over-cap increase can be void: costing you the raise entirely. We track each tenancy's timing and issue compliant increases so you capture what you're owed without a misstep.

Common questions

Questions owners ask first.

How and when do I get paid out?

Collected rent, less any agreed costs, is remitted to you on a set monthly schedule alongside a statement showing what came in and what was spent.

What happens if a tenant doesn't pay?

We follow up immediately and manage the communication and process on your behalf, keeping you informed, so a late payment is handled, not left to you to chase.

Do you handle rent increases?

Yes. We issue increases on the correct schedule and notice period, within Nova Scotia's 5% cap, so your income grows without risking a void increase.
