Why this exists
Nova Scotia's arrears rules changed in April 2025, and Residential Tenancies hearings were scheduling 11 to 13 weeks outin August 2026. The timelines in this report are taken from the province's own Form D and Form K guides, so the dates you work from are the dates that count.
Prefer to read first? The full rent collection guide and our analysis of the hearing backlog are both free to read, no email required.
